Well retired , we are going into summer (not winter) but the commentary for the past few years has always been the same , too much in storage . NYMEX traders have blown off cold snaps and reducing production levels believing that high inventory would always buffer any price moves higher . There is a collection of blood suckers that have destoyed the US nat gas industry for personal profit as they sell gas futures on product they neither control or need . This paper market has no baring on anything but price although its results have been devastating .
It seems the only way to stop this action is to destroy the players and I think that movement is happening now but time will tell . Gas traders have been told for weeks now to "fade any rallies" meaning sell any moves toward the $3 level . The shorts have been busy placing their bets for the past couple of weeks and like a slow motion train wreck , you can see the collision of reality and fantasy should intersect this Thursday at about 10;35am EST .
Either way , right or wrong , I will be here on Thursday to say
A - I was right
B - I was wrong
