BB Cyber Suite to support MSFT, IBM, VMware UEM BlackBerry’s Cyber Suite will soon feature integrations with unified endpoint management (UEM) platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly Intune), VMware Workspace ONE, and IBM MaaS360, among others.
The integrations will allow BlackBerry to provide additional security to users of rival UEMs, CEO John Chen said during the company’s quarterly earnings call with financial analysts on December 17, 2020.
BlackBerry Cyber Suite unites the best of BlackBerry and Cylance technology, Chen asserts. (BlackBerry acquired Cylance for $1.4 billion in November 2018.)
Fast forward to present day. The Cyber Suite suite, available for roughly one month, includes endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response (EDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities, he noted.
On the R&D front, BlackBerry has made gains with its EDR technology, Chen asserts. “We’ve been behind an EDR, but we believe we all caught up and we ran enough tests to show that.”
Meanwhile, BlackBerry has also been building cybersecurity partnerships with Verizon, Zoom, and other companies, Chen noted.
