BNN BIR CEO Interview

BNN BIR CEO InterviewThis was a frosty interview. One take away. With CEO's claiming they want to get rid of Debt. Banks under political pressure to stop investing/lending to companies in E&P.

I have to ask the following observations about why Companies go public:
1) Access to debt financing
2) Access to growth equity
3) Higher multiples on profits/Cash Flow as an exit strategy

With all the pressure coming from to kill the fossil fuel industry:
1) Canadian Govt & US Gov't
2) ESG investors
4) Indiginous communities

When BIR's CEO says... we are bringing our debt to zero... he's had enough of the constant stress of risk. What he didn't say, but we all should realize, E&P CEO's of smaller energy companies are going to privatize their businesses as there is no reason to remain public.
