Barrick put Lagunas Norte on care and maintenance because they didn't want to spend the $650 million to upgrade their plant to process the 4 million ounces of refractory sulphide they have - and cancelled their option to acquire 70% of ORO next door which could have just as much, but you think Miwah is going into the production? Miwah would likely be a $1 billion capex project. Nobody would finance that. Difficult terrain, no infrastructure, endangered animals, protected forrest. This company was a scam before Sangihe. Who in their right mind owned this when it had a $700 million valuation? Most 100k ounce producers don't have that valuation. Idiots!
