RE:No need for oil/gas As a society, we should demand our electrical systems are 100% reliable. The engineering principal… to increase system reliability use diverse independent systems always holds. This is a principle all groups must understand.
I like to monitor the Ontario and Alberta electrical grid system to see what is going on for energy usage … opposite ends of the country.

My quick summary is Ontario’s wind and solar are running near capacity whereas Alberta is slightly above zero. It all depends on the weather in the local area.
I find it odd the way people think. The pendulum swings from too far right ... to too far left. A decade ago it was too far right 100% oil/gas. Now the thinking is too far left 100% solar /wind. The right solution is in the middle. Let the engineers design the system…..Not the social media.
