RE:Oil and Nat Gas versus Wind and Solar Amid Freeze

RE:Oil and Nat Gas versus Wind and Solar Amid Freeze

Is there ice and snow on solar panels? Oh no, they're doomed. DOOMED! If only they had like a brush, and like a worker, and the unfathomable ability to scale such a complex operation, but alas. ALAS!

I wonder, did you also spell the end of oil back in the 70s when OPEC created 2 energy crises that made oil unaffordable for the average person? Did you predict the end of oil by tanker when the Exxon Valdez broke up on the coast of Alaska? Did Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, or Fukushima put an end to nuclear in your mind? Do you give up on new technologies as soon as the first problem arises?

Solar and wind will overcome. That's the beauty of technology. It can be improved. Were you expecting oil and gas to disappear overnight? By the end of this process, they even might well find a way to burn coal, gas, and oil cleanly and recapture the CO2.

That's not to say that solar and wind are the guaranteed perfect solution for the future, but this doom and gloom stuff is over the top. Every means of energy production has had its share of hiccups. With investment in infrastructure and smart grids to spread the load across the continent (impossible now), and cold weather packages for their turbines like they have in cold weather regions, this issue can be fixed. They already have all the tools they need to address it. No lengthy research required.

Windmills and solar panels have frozen up in many states in the U.S., rotating power outages because of the demand. If we did not have oil and natural gas, the power bills would go to the moon!!!

I’m so sick of stupid green technology BS.

Fossil fuels save frickin lives right now!!! Group think stupidity at its best.

What the hell would happen if all the Tesla’s were hooked up to the grid right now???

People would be freezing to death but thank God we have Electric Vehicles!

I thank God everyday this week for the oil and natural gas heat that is keeping my family safe and warm.
