RE:Over Compensating

RE:Over CompensatingHard to say what happened wrt the timing of the news.

Seeing that the news of Prabhu's departure was given out in a news release just minutes before the market opened (they usually send out at 8 am), that doesn't sound planned. Perhaps today's news release was already planned prior to Prabhu's departure (they could have sent it out yesterday, but it was Family Day in some provinces).

At the end of the day, Kurt (and his board) dictate more importantly the vision and direction of the company.  Prahbu gets marching orders. There are those who fear that Q4 won't be good due to execution of the business. What if Q4 is disappointing and Prabhu was still with the company, and then we wonder why XBC failed and would some call for his departure as he is mainly resp for day to day operations? Or was his departure last week simply a power struggle as many here believed he was in line for the CEO position and with the "new guy" getting the promotion, it didn't seem likely. There is more evidence of the latter, as it's a leap to assume Q4 was "bad" at this time.

Maybe COO leaving was purposely timed to coincide with a plethora of good news to soften the blow. If so I will take a new contract ever day for the next little while.
