If BTI is releasing data that is material, then the release could come at any time - before, during or after the conference. However, if the release concerns partnership or licencing agreements then I would think releasing the details is more likely after the conference is over, rather then before, or during.

This is the last of a series of three conferences, so hopefully Dr.R already had a number of irons in the fire that she has been working with over the past month....trying to develop new leads, improve on a previous offer...etc. So thats where my thinking is coming from.
