xxxxxxx,
I saw this report on Saturday on BBC World News. The garbage problem is huge in Lebanon, particularly Beyrouth,. There are large protests over the situation.

I was surprised to find a reference which says that the tipping fees are actually quite high there. The waste management company running the now closed landfill was charging $140/tonne. And the government is considering a plan to export the waste to Africa for $193/tonne.

Now Lebanon still has certain export restrictions from a US government perspective for defense-related items, though I don’t know whether our shared IP with DoD would be included here or not : I will investigate this further.

Of note, Corsica could be an interesting fit, as they are subjected to EU regulations. The island, with their tourists, generates about 1000 tonnes per day of waste. But, there seems to be a big push against incineration there by citizens, and typically, technologies like ours get caught up in this, but we are pretty good with differentiating ourselves with time
Though we have not been pushing our systems for MSW in Europe recently, given your email I think it is time to sit down and see whether it makes sense now for us to push for a plasma MSW to Energy project.
Thanks once again for thinking of us.
Sincerely,
