The truck thing is trivial but if someone is nervous about trucking in front of his home you should be at least able to tell him that the 90 ton truck won't be the 20 ft wide caterpillar 777 type but will look rather like regular road truck... I wouldn't like to cross a 20ft giant in a curve on the gravel road going to EM1.
I also think that when asked about the water being rejected in a stream in the winter and to what watershed this water will be heading the biologist and environnemental manager should have been able to give a clear answer since they made hydrology studies for the project. On that note Anne Gabor made a good performance yesterday.
When asked if a spill kit will be in every truck or that they would have to be fetched at the mine site in case of an accident everyone on the team (that hopefully have been to a mine site) would have known that even a lawnmower on a mine site would have a spill kit, a fire extinguisher and a flag attached to it (ok never saw a mower at a mine but I'm not exagerating by much).
All in all I think the people attending were ok with the answers provided so it's no big deal on that side but for a team that is about to build a mine this year I didn't get a good vibe out of it. A mine operation is to be runned like clockwork not approximately... downtime is expensive and 350 million becomes 700 millions fast...
You were saying you work in james bay are you for hydro or Eleonore or? I work there pretty often too on various projects as a contractor... small world!
Go cre! Take your day off to study and surprise us tomorrow in Nemaska ;)
cheers
Noted, both Tinker and your post are very important. Anne Gabor impressed me, she also responded to questions without being directed to do so.
