RE:I think it will hurt tomorrowThat's interesting gino . You follow a drug maker and a silver company , you have NEVER posted here before but tonight you're an expert on oil . Considering Bay St and their chickenshit trading patterns , the selling never stops, why would tomorrow be any different ?
I can see how that might bother or delight a short term horizon but I see cowardice turning into greed soon enough . Everyone is down on energy companies until they face a shortage themselves , then they just want their tank filled or the heat turned back on .
Despite some peoples wishes , there is no replacement for fossil fuels for years to come . Why eastern Canada thinks Saudi or Russian oil shipped on tankers is a better environmental choice than a Canadian solution is beyond me . It is economically damaging , it threatens any idea of self sufficiency and it sends billions to dictators instead of spending it in Canada . Taxes and royalties build hospitals , schools , universities , pave roads , clean water , the list goes on . Money sent to Saudi Arabia , Russia or Iran never comes back and not one penny is ever spent here .
I support Canadian oil and gas and I'm willing to give them some time to recover , this country needs to start appreciating the opportunities we have , while we still have them . People need to wake up and get in the "here and now" before we cripple ourselves permanantly
