long live retail investors..,
I have a question though, shorts can play only on the floated shares, right?
also, with TD, I can change the price from $70 to &30 on the same order, without cancelling...,

The worst that could happen is for some reason the share price shoots up and you get 70$/ share. (pretty good, eh?) It's not likely, but from what I've read, at least it will prevent shorty from borrowing them, to use against you. Think of shorty as cops: "any shares you don't put for sale can and will be used against you."
Remember though, if you suddenly want to get out at 30$/ share, you first have to cancel the 70$ order before you can put in the 30$ sell order....a worthwhile step however to stop shorty
good luck and welcome to the board...
