RE:Good morning It is news, but most stations want to make it political news. Any well balanced station (I can't think of one) would also point out that natural gas lines were also freezing. Logic would then lead them to ask " why doesn't this happen in Canada and in the northern states". The answer is that we engineer that possibility into the manufacture, installation and commissioning.
I see it as a warm weather installation problem for renewables AND natural gas. They have saved $millions by doing it this way for years, this time they got caught out and have paid for it. It is not a failure of technology, it is a failure of planning and installation. Some people refer to this as "risk management". I refer to it as "management risk",.
