All of a sudden we are everywhere!I meant it when I said I was excited about the hit piece... this game changing, ground breaking tech is an affront to a scientific community that did not get there first. So skepticisim must be welcomed. Peer review is essential. Yet it does put us on edge- just look at all the posts going on today. Even my new buddy can't stop talking about it (cheers bro :) ). Here is the thing.... we still really are taking it on faith that behind the scenes the science and operational capacity has been proven - but we are basing that on a preponderance of circumstantial evidence - ie government investment, tweets by people connected, comments and allusions... but certainty of success remains eleusive right?
This guy Jarry is not anyone's enemy. He is simply skeptical and when folks pushed back on him he simply doubled down on his skepticism. No crime there and likely he has no agenda at this point other than defending his viewpoint (we all do that here all the time!) He did say he wants it to work so he does acknowledge the value of it if proven. That is pretty big in itself!
His "hit piece" (don't read too much into that) is welcome because it spreads the story of Biocloud even farther. And the other piece someone posted today from Research2reality is great too (but let's face it, it is not criticial but simply restates company statements ) and welcome.
Now I sound like my friend krupper saying there is no reason to be alarmed and there is no problem to solve here, but where I differ is I think all the talk is freakin' great. All of a sudden we are about to be everywhere. Either as a massive scam that duped us all (half joking) or as a disruptive and game changing solution that helps the world and makes money for a group of folks outside of the corporate media industrial pharma complex. How cool is that?!
That said though kids - even though we are everywhere now we are still not quite "there" yet. Thus all the tension. At least now when you get frustrated with this message board and go searching for news there is some to find and I expect more will follow. Enjoy! :) (but don't spend that money yet)
