RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:My two cents worthThats odd.. my electical supplier just last year changed the feed into my home from copper to aluminum when there was an issue with shorting out copper due to settlement stress on the wires which in turn broke a few copper strands.. their reason was that aluminum was safer if slumping continued because it wouldn't arc... thereby causing a fire..

other than aluminum there are other metals which similarly could be substituted.
