I have no idea....but hopefully the investments will be rewarded with lower operating costs, and possibly a nice $$ return on investments if the products they are working on, turn out to be new, improved, exclusive, or revolutionary products or processes.
No point in spending on these ventures unless Hut sees a benefit for their bottom line.
Only my novice opinion.
