RE:RE:RE:Share price valuation

RE:RE:RE:Share price valuationI think you havfe it backwards GuidoSan. Competition is a concern for the establishment (BYND). The little guys in EATS portfolio ARE THE competiton. The winners will be decided by who has the best marketing and innovation, and an ability to scale up. EATS companies are nicely positioned along those axes. Moreover this sector has massive room for growth - but not all is expected to happen over night. So I agree that we have to be realistic

Lets look at the portfolio:

Plant Power is the only legit Vegan fast food chain in the US at least inferred from this article by Live Kindly, which places Plant-Power first.

https://www.livekindly.co/vegan-drive-thru-fast-food/
Being an established presence in California they have a chance to carve out a strong brand recognition before competition has a chance to catch up. Moreover, Plant Power is teh competition in the sense of draw customers with environmental and health conscious away from the massive established fast food industry.

GDNP is bioplastics and neither it nor its competitors (e.g., DNMR and Origin Materials) seem to be greatly constrained by competition, at least not yet. It might become so, especially if all come out with competing identical products like biodegradable plastic bags, or overlap in their aquisition targets. But growth will be rapid in this space and the sky is the limit.

Singcell and Turtle Tree Labs - these experimental companies might face competition vying for gov't grants to continue their innovative research, LOL. All I'm saying is this is future tech, and its hard to guage where it could go. My perception is that they are carving out serious techno-niche-space that could one day be the size of Texas. But I'd love to learn about other comapnies in this space.

Similarly, Eat Just is THE LEADER in Plant-based protein biotech, making great progress both on tech side and on distribution.

Zoglo and Above Food - I'm less familiar with what sets their products apart, so can't say anything here, except that I look forward to checking out their products and seeing how consumers perceive them.

Nabati faces similar competition, but customers seem to love their product and they are gaining excellent traction with some of their products.

VERY is in the same competitive space but truly offers a superior product, started by professional chefs, and with A++ marketing. Demand has been 10X what they can supply, and I'm optimisitc that will continue even once their expanded facilities are producing. I think VERY will prove extremely competitive in this space, possibly vying for contracts with Burger King and McDonalds the same way BYND and IMpossible do.

So in conclusion, EATS is operating across more than one niche. Each niche is growing at varying rates and with varying potential. Competition is not yet a limiting factor in at least 5 of the 8 portfolio companies, and on many companies are serious competitors themselves.

It's hard to say if we might sink a little lower or pop up towards $5. What is clear, imo is that its a solid long-term hold.
