I have always assumed that if a person or persons partook of a pp at a certain price(which is generally lower than the present market price) then they must have enough info on the company to expect a profit. Remember that in practically all private placements there are additional cheap warrants thrown in with the deal. And then of course a brokerage fee as well. Are the retail investors the only chance takers? cheers.
