Unbelievable Results (Part II)So, some not so brief comments regarding today’s results as well as past numbers. When viewing GLM’s results, it’s important to remember that this is Nevada where there’s operating, profitable mines with grades 0.5 g/t gold (or less). That’s what makes today’s results so impressive. Not only were they high grade, but the highest grade ever reported on the property.
Speaking of the property, the Eureka area of the property hasn’t seen any exploration work since the 80s due to land tenure issues. Nor was there any modern geophysics performed on the property in that time since GLM conducted an aeromag survey last year. It’s also worthwhile to note that Jewel Ridge is sandwiched between a past 2 Moz producer (Barrick) and a 700,000 oz deposit to the south (Timberline).
As I stated, today’s hit (see below) was the best ever on the property:
** 24.5 m of 9.1 g/t gold, 65 g/t silver, 1% lead and 1.9% zinc **
** including 3.2 m of 57.1 g/t gold, 452 g/t silver, 7.2% lead, 12% zinc **
That last interval equates to 10.5 ft of 1.8 oz/t gold, 14.5 oz/t silver, 7.2% lead, 12% zinc
Not only are the gold/silver values high, but there’s also the high secondary values of lead and zinc.
As I said, this has been the best drill intersection ever reported on the property; however significant results have been reported mainly from South Eureka (see below).
Historic Intersections include:
** 27 m of 5.5 g/t gold **
** 21 m of 4.2 g/t gold **
** 41 m of 2 g/t gold **
** 23 m of 2.8 g/t gold ** (best prior GLM intersection)
Grab samples reported over the past summer/fall from various zones have also been impressive and include values up to: 29.5 g/t gold, 562 g/t silver, 4.3% lead, 2% zinc.
The fact that today’s results reported contained higher grades over core widths than select surface samples is also impressive.
At any rate, this is anything but a “one hit wonder” as some have implied; but is undoubtedly a new high grade discovery on grounds that have produced significant results in the past. It’ll no doubt be intriguing to follow GLM as they attempt to delineate this discovery and discover it’s extent.
Have a good night.
