Update on Cryptostar Energy Deal in Labrador
guys, Nalcor, the public utility in Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada), where Cryptostar is mining btc at a very, very low price, is reaching out this week to companies who are asking for more megawatts, it's very good news. It means that Cryptostar will soon have access to a new block of hydroelectricity. From what I understand by reading the decisions of the Public Utilities Board (they are public), the price they pay should be very low, around 0.017$CAD per kwh, it means they can mine with good old S9s and they will still be quite profitable. Bitfarms and Hive in Qubec pays around 0.06$CAD according to their public filings. Remember, it's not about how many mw you mine but at what price. The Nalcor process is a competitive one, but most definitely the few energy they have left will go to the two established cryptominers in Labrador, since the province is not open at all to outsiders because of their bad experience with a previous cryptominer. Good trading day to you all, let me know your thoughts.
