Initial Exploration Focus The main focus of exploration will include:
- Drill programs that will target down plunge of existing high-grade resources that have the potential to be mined underground such as at NOA 1, 7-8 and Alliance deposits at Burnakura and Yagahong deposits at Gabanintha.
High grade gold has been confirmed to exist in the basements of Alliance, New Alliance , NOA1 and NOA 7/8,where we have an early 43-101 amounting to 118,000 ounces.
All pits have their source rock in the basement although geological activity may have displaced them somewhat down dip and on strike.
From what we know , it's possible that the NOA basement is continuous from pit #1 to and, ( we already know) through pits 7/8 , remaining open at depth and strike.
If this is the case, we have the makings of a super pit, consolidating all 8 pits as one big pit whose basement gold can be mined through the pit floors and through the walls, thus eliminating more costly underground stope and pillar mining.
Current gold resources of these 8 NOA pits is just over 200,000 ounces so we have an excellent base to build on.
We already know that Yagahong has great prospectivity for both gold and copper both shallow and in the basement rock .Drilling results with just 5 holes in 2020 lit up the graphics with great intercepts.
- Close spaced magnetic orientation surveys that may be able to delineate favourable structures in prospective host lithologies such as BIF.
BIF hosted gold lodes are known to be much larger and more productive, so this is a good way to narrow drilling focus
- Upgrade existing drilled areas to resource status such as Tumblegum and Kavanagh at Gabanintha.
Great idea.....Gold Copper and vanadium make great targets
- Further refinement and ranking of regional style exploration targets, that have the potential to host significant deposits. There are multiple areas in both projects that have no first pass sampling information.
Another excellent idea
- Complete budget in line with exploration strategy.
I have said before and repeat again, when Burnakura and Gabanintha are fully explored both pit and basement, we shall have delineated more than 2 m ounces
