Let's be clear first. I'm long....very long....33% of my total portfolio is in this thing so I am not bashing. While I don't agree with
hemi3tc's tone or assessment it is completely accurate to say that compostable bioplastic is not the same thing as biodegradeable plastic.
GDNP sells the former, and not the latter.
GDNP's products are certifiable to decompose
in an industrial compost facility. Alternatively, their bioplastic can be co-mingled with "chemicals of concert plastic" and be chipped / shaved with the rest of it and be re-used.
Biodegradeable plastic is a plastic that will degrade in nature, on it's own, over time, without entering a commercial facility. It's a notable difference.
However, one of the other big differences is that biodegradeable plastic might take months, or even years to degrade (It wouldn't be a very good water bottle if it degrades in your hands), while, once compostable bioplastic is put into the
correct facility it breaks down more quickly, and in GDNPs case within 180 days.
I have done my research and understand the differences and I firmly believe that GDNP has a product worth investing in and I expect to hold well past the recent highs, but let's all be sure we understand what these products are and what their intended use / lifespan is.
For clarity, you can read the following pages directly from the GDNP website:

Compostable Food Packaging Of note, is the final paragraph on this page:
Regardless of all this, it’s important to recognize that the vast majority of packaging still ends up in landfills (read more about this in recycling), and all of it slowly degrades to some extent. In the case of our plant-based and compostable packaging, it will not leach potentially hazardous chemicals into the soil or water table when that happens. Traditional petroleum-based plastic packaging cannot make this claim, regardless of the end-of-life options the industry promotes. krustybra wrote: Comments like this only prove just how ignorant you are. If you don't know what you're talking about, why make any comments at all?
Do your research and then come back once you have informed yourself on Good Natured and its wonderful plethora of plant based products. Then maybe you'll start making sense
After that, if you still are of the belief that "it is not the best product that is biodegradable in the environment" (whatever the heck that means), that's fine, because at least you will have educated yourself at the very least
