Re:Mining Gold For A Better FutureVery good sign--obviously public relations strategy and unclear whether the ambassador interacted with any of the local barangay officials, but we can suspect he paid his compliments.
     He was there to fly the Australian flag, maybe remind Duterte about the economic and social advantages of Didipio mine---and to be a symbolic reminder of remittances, one of the main sources of hard currency entering the Philippines.
      Notice also that the photo was in a series of photos, depicting a lot of green and indigenous themes.  Good PR.  But i actually hope the FTAA is not announced until OGC  SP works it's way back up a bit.  Were the FTAA announced today, it would land with a thud. Sorrowful day for the gold space ---so far. No worries--there's no gravity, the world sucks economically and exhuberance is irrational.  Just a bit of interest rate diversion away from gold, nothing more.  IMO
