“The reason it’s called a bull market is because so many people get bucked off”

John Newell – Industry and markets expert

This was previously sent out on Oct. 12 but still applies today.
Cowboys don’t have a problem staying on when a bull rears up.  It’s when the bull drops out from under them or goes into a hard spin that throws them off.  I know because my bull (young steer) riding carrier lasted about 2.5 seconds when I was 14 years old.  Like the other boys I was with, I landed head first in the dirt and wondered “what was I thinking?”

Of course this is exactly what John is talking about when people get bucked off a bull market when it drops out from under them and wonder “what was I thinking?"  He went on to say that the sad part is that these investors could have done so well had they just hung on.

The fact is that all bull markets are fraught with headwinds, turbulence, and outright manipulation. Just this last month we’ve seen Scotiabank, J.P.Morgan, and Deutsche Bank all get in trouble for directly manipulating precious metals down tens of thousands of times over the last decade!  Yet despite all this, gold continues to gain value.

The good news is that at the end of the day, gold and precious metal prices have been heavily manipulated but continue to rise. Canadian stocks are heavily manipulated but the quality companies continue to rise. Given enough time and attention the true value of things start to push through the short attacks.

Keep in mind that should Treaty Creek be sold, its price would be determined by the demand for large scale deposits and by what’s in the ground, which continues to grow and grow. I hope we all take John's advice to hold on tight and ride this bull market out, opposed to getting bucked off in the process.
