I can never wish for a better CEO. Her experience and her expertise in the field, her business acumen (with a business degree to boot). But wait for this: this lady holds an advanced degree in engineering (Masters in Chemical Engineering). This is no joke! I've worked with, been under the supervision of, and even dated guys in engineering. They're very, very result-driven. They have a way of making numbers work. Beena's mathematical skills coupled with her business acumen is just another extra layer of protection for us investors. If she's increased the revenue of the company of which she was previously a CEO of by tenfold, then she's not here to drive Fire to the ground. You can see this from the very short time she's been here.
This reminds me of Bruce Linton (the founder and ex- CEO of Tweed). He had been very successful at his previous management positions but I was not as impressed of his achievements as I am of Beena's. There were times when some investors were so frustrated that they threatened to "punch him in the face" (not my words). The only thing new about the company at that time was the numerous bought deals at dirt cheap prices. Every now and then we had one . But who could have known that he was already working behind the scene. Investors woke up one morning to find out Constellation Brands (the beverage giant who owns Corona beer) decided to partner with and invest in Tweed. When that "bomb" dropped, investors were dumbfounded; many exclaimed that they were not ready because this suddenly made them "f*** rich" (please pardon the language but it's not mine). It's like you're working a 9 to 5 job, pulling your hair out about the piles of bulls that keep on pouring in. And you woke up the next day, becoming an instant millionaire or multi-millionaire. That's the kind of impact the news made on many people's lives.
I don't know if there's anything being cooked up behind the scene, but I wouldn't rule out anything as spectacular as what I had witnessed with Tweed.
