RE:New Kitco Interview seen by 100K viewersOtis was acquired when gold was at $1200; and one of the rational was diversification of assets. I think Exn BOD need to make up their minds what to do with Kilgore project, however Exn simply cannot afford to carry two water melons in one hand; one of the two projects - Platosa or KIlgore ought to yield to the other.
Exn claims that Kilgore is potentially a multi-million ounces gold project, but they have not done any sustained underground drilling. So Exn claims are based on beliefs and not facts. Secondly, assu, ing that Kilgore is lucky to come up with suffcient U/G grade and size, and this is a BIG assumption, the future mine needs multiple permits to be operational. Again BIG unknown.
On the other hand, there is Platosa. As the saying goes, Exn is better off having a sparrow in the hand then Arabian hawk in the sky. It took a while but Platosa finally started to deliver. The Gap Zone discovery is massive as the deposit will likely double the mine life. And that is just the beggining. I am cauttiously optimistic that Greater Platosa will turn out few more discoveries in 2021 ASSUMING that suffcient CAPEX (up to $15 million) is allocated to Platosa and is not squandered on Kilgore.
