DM a microcosm of diversificationYou know when you hear financial advice stating that one should diversify geographically and in a broad set of sectors?
Well, I'm hardpressed to find more of such advice in as simple as DM's shares. In terms of geographic diversification we're looking at North America (Canada and US), Europe (Germany) and Asia (South Korea), not to mention broader geogrpahic coverage through the likes of multinaitonal mining companies (including South America and Africa), NATO (yet again Europe and NA). And the geographic coverage is only set to expand over the coming months and years.
On a sector diversification perspective, we're looking at tech and defence, through AI/Nexa and RPA, finance, through crypto (Ronin)and blockchain (GBLC), and health, through C-19 testing and Concierge.
Yes, some will understandably not like DM because it is <all over the place> but, on the other hand it has also - likely partly unintentionally - been hedging its bets while putting together this somewhat disparate portfolio of verticals. It is likely that some will not prove successful, in the future, but for now DM is in the process of turning what appeared to be past failures to its advantage (i.e. Ronin) as the macro context has favoured some of what its, used to be, dead weights (Ronin and Blockchain). There is still a lot to be proven, before we can genuinely say that DM is successful but it's currently difficult to not be enthusiastic as to the future (near term) prospects!
