US $$$ going down Gold goes up.  This time not  currently following to closely.
US RAnge bound at year low 90 - 91  Falling from year high 104
US$ holding here because interest rates going up.

Usually more money printing would cause the US$$ to fall.

FED financial engineering with the rates to be able to sell BONDs.
No one wants to buy bonds at rates < 1%.
