While I do not support the recent distracted engagement of/with persons unknown on this board; the opportunity for contextualizing the (past, present and potential) Touchstone discoveries just got a bit closer to realization based on the following excahange:

Petrotrin Refinery - Another Option 4 Restart

Again, the Point a Pierre oil refinery that was mothballed over two years ago, first saw the Oilfield Workers Trade Union emerge as the first with a declared interest in restarting. In the above link we see the emergence of another consortium/consortia looking to address the foreign exchange "conundrum" while also facilatating employment in the shadow villages (e.g. Gasparillo).

The Touchstone "interest" could be a "what if" a Joe-Harry window analysis of an oil discovery of significant proportion(s) (say) at the Royston-Kracken-Steelhead complex or my pet speculation, a deep (10k+ TD) seated discovery in the FR/Fyzabad/PS/SF(Legacy Assets) PLUS Caricomers (Guyana & Suriname) advances the probability of a timely & proximal feedstock?

Key point (takeaway) in the (linked) Sando discussion was not a total restart; but a staged restart of the ~23 or so plants within the sprawling complex.

BWDIK? Foreign Exchange in the face of an economy facing a crisis due to an energy sector shrinkage might get a "lifeline" should a TXP  discovery of oil at depth(s) not previously (~ 112 years) technically feasible\practicable...
