RE:RE:RE:Brookfield is not happening. Hey Max

Good one. I wasn't following the markets back in the Brascan days but I have heard a few rumours about them. Brrokfield does indeed sound quite similar.

I should also come clean a bit and admit that I'm being a little hypocritical as we did make a total profit of about 180% on our BEP.UN investment in just over 6 years. We're also way up on BIP.UN with the same Mar, 2014 purchase date. We had a capital loss on BPY.UN but had a small net profit with our divys and extra trades factored in.

In the end, they p*ssed me off with how the BPY roll-up was handled and they goosed me on the record date for the BEPC split. It was enough to make me back off, take my profits, and just stick to BIP.

Don't you believe a kid from Winnipeg can go to school to become an accountant and then figure out a way to "earn" himself 2.6 billion (per Forbes) for his freedom 55 retirement? Cmon man, next thing you will suggest is "partners" have overly generously ended up owning 20% of Brookfield (12 billion) without cutting a cheque! And then what? His mentor and predecessor, jack cockwell, did the EXACT same thing to shareholders of the Brookfield predecessor, Brascan??  What??  My question is who will do it to shareholders next and what name and structure will Brookfield morph into to accomplish the same thing.

How she go? I haven't seen your around as much as usual this last while. Maybe different stocks/boards??

Anyway, I don't think Brookfield are amateurs. I think they are more along the lines of ruthless slimeballs that are only interested in their personal wealth.

I used to be quite a fan but after a couple incidents I've become very suspicious of them. They do so much undocumented, sneaky stuff and it sure looks like a pile of "financial engineerring" is going on.

I've sold all our BEP.UN and BPY.UN and now only hold a medium position of BIP.UN.

Now, having said all that, I still think they will somehow get the IPL take-over done.

Fair enough but a real offer needs to hit table now or Brookfield is forever a joke. The world is watching and anyone with any sense is shaking their heads as to how this was handled. Brookfield put fences around everyone with fiasco. Keep out brookfield, they are amateurs.
