RE:RE:RE: Barrick"All the copper from this project will end up in Chinese development projects."

Right when you think about it the Chinese have no interest in getting cash on the open market for this Cu. They want the metal, even more so because it is high purity. The Chinese should take their cut of production in metal and buy the remainder from IVN and the DRC. Every lb. of production would go to a Chinese port. The PRC can easily consume it and it would be more simple and efficient to have one transport route, the same transaction with the same party every time at the going rate instead of going to the open market, dealing with many buyers, different transport routes - no need to open up the transport route on the Atlantic side from the Angolan port. A straight shot across the Ind. Ocean through the Strait of Malacca and there you are in Hong Kong. Just feed the insatiable Godzilla for a few decades and relieve him from his cash.

The West better smarten up and get mining projects into production to deal with huge demand from the required decaying infrastructure that needs to be repaired and the electrification of our economies.
