Also trains, why not load a few tanker cars filled with vanadium pentoxide to help with already existing diesel-electric locomotives? Regen braking could be used to recharge batteries. Trucking too. Within city heavy duty trucks could easily run off VRFB battery. Renewable energy and even fossil fuel generation clearly needs a form of battery backup as recent events in Texas have shown. All grids should have at least a week of VRFB backup. Why not use oil storage tank sized vessels for vanadium? Used forload balancing during peak times and also there for emergencies. After all these years of waiting I think 2021 could finally be the year VRFB really take off.
