Rainy River is a gold mine located in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, approximately 65 kilometers (km) northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario. The New Afton mine is located approximately 10 km west of Kamloops, approximately 350 km northeast of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The yield on benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasuries traded around 1.49% overnight, heading back towards a one-year high of 1.61% set last week on bets that a strong economic recovery aided by government stimulus will result in revived inflation, prodding the Federal Reserve into early tightening action.

Higher rates reverses everything the Fed and Treasury have been trying to accomplish so they will act and probably soon, just as they will act against cryptos.
