RE:RE:UI Signs a Major North American Police Department Have been thinking about that.
Here's the key extract from the newswire:
The client will be using Urbanimmersive’s 3D technology to create offline 3D tours of highly secured and sensitive buildings. They will use the 3D tours for the purpose of offsite building inspections, documentation and police force staff remote training. The 3D tours offer an interactive virtual meeting venue (‘UiMeet3D’) for remote group offsite inspections and training. This agreement will make the client totally autonomous in the processes of capturing visual content and creating 3D tours and floor plans.
In police terms what is a highly secured and sensitive building?
If you are the chief of police of a city or of a state or a province or a the federal government, a highly secured building might be the seat of government, might be the offices and homes of politicians. Or, it might be a restaurant, a hotel, a manufacturing plant, etc., that a politician wishes to visit.
I have seen several movies where the US Secret Service scouts out every venue before a presidential visit. In all likelihood, the police force who signed with UI concluded that it was useful and necessary to create a virtual tour of a site that is unknown to them.
Imagine on the spur of the moment President Biden decides to have dinner with his wife at the BLT Prime Steakhouse, in Washington, DC. The Secret Service would rush to the site, they would create a virtual tour and a map of the restaurant. Then the secret service personnel with the help of avatars created by UiMEET3D would virtually walk through the restaurant, train, interact and learn everything they can about the restaurant.
I also believe, the client will create and store virtual tours of sensitive sites. So when a visit is planned of a building that has already been digitized in a virtual format, personal can prepare and train for the visit by interacting with avatars inside the virtual tour.
When UI signs a second agreement and if this police force allows its name to be used, it would be great if UI would return to Smallcap discoveries. Local media coverage would also be nice.
