Re. China and Auzzie
Your post is a reminder of how Australia's "country risk" profile is very high, if not as high as any country can be.
Meanwhile, that of the US is sinking rapidly. The massively rich, brecciated uranium pipes on the Colorado Plateau are about to be banned from production forever; forget that such mining there now is the safest and cleanest of all uranium mining. At Superior, Arizona, Rio Tinto/BHP have what may be the world's largest copper porphyry project, one that could produce 25-percent of US annual needs, but it is facing renewed legal challenges. In the Sana Rita Mountains near Tucson, HubBay is being blocked from developing the Rosemont project, which could provide around 22 percent of US annual copper needs. Similarly, in the Silverbell Mountains near Tucson, exploration-phase miners failed to restore exploration permits from Trump because of the political atmosphere there, even though Asarco operates a massive open-pit mine there and has for over 120-year.
.
The fact is, the anti-mining activist in Arizona and across the US are winning. They care not that the components of their smartphones and the labor that went to producing them came from some other country.
Yes, I am ranting - I'm pissed. However, this is why I am now drawn to Novo's activities. So, indirectly at least, I will benefit.
