RE:Saturday's wall street Journal I think you may be simplying , not absolutely sure ?, the market share question.
Crompton Greaves Ltd, Alstom SA, ABB Ltd, Siemens AG, GE Co., Toshiba Corp dominate power transformer market share.
On HPS's site , they say "HPS is the largest manufacturer of dry-type transformers in North America." This makes me think that they are not number #1 in various other categories. Do you happen to know if these EV charging stations would use dry-type transformers?
