RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Stay Another shotgun marriage. Ag Leader did AgJunction wrong, so now they have to step up and sign on the line.
The lawsuit alleged that Ag Leader products violate three of AgJunction's patents related to automated machine control. And the lawsuit further alleged that Ag Leader breached the supply agreement between the companies. These allegations relate to Ag Leader's development of its new SteerCommand Z2 and SteadySteer systems.
A final settlement Ag Leader should be less complicated than settling with Kubota. That took 14 months.
Kubota got "a non-exclusive license in the U.S. and Canada to AJX’s patent portfolio in exchange for undisclosed royalty payments from Kubota."
To date, the AgJunction/Ag Leader dust-up has only been roughly four months. We should see something very similar to the Kubota settlement with Ag Leader, but likely more limited in scope because Ag Leader has a more limited product offering than Kubota.
With Kubota, included were also more definitive agreements relating to the development and/or supply by AgJunction of autosteer and autonomous solutions for Kubota's products worldwide.
With Ag Leader we are likely to see a new and broader supply agreement with updated technology from AgJunction.
In my opinion every win amplifies the importance of the prior wins. AJX patents are strong.
