RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:LIne 5Well since  I started the subject and even though I am more than 40 years out of date, I doubt much has changed . Batch sizes were typically 75000 barrels each, so with say 18 million bpd floatind in the sysrem for an average 15 days say I calculate 3600 batches that must be tracked and dispatched each day , probably as complex as any busy airport. In the old days cartons of punch cards had to be fed into service terminals to be transmiited to Cray supercomputers in Houston.
That I remember, particularly the day that I dropped one of those cartons on the floor !!
