You have a right to your opinion ...but you're struggling with facts and if you're not invested why are you on this board? If you are invested what's your complaint? Are you suggesting this is competition for THRMs AcuVid ...because it's not.
The saliva gargle tests you refer to are available to every child that NEEDS a test in BC.
That's different than every child being tested. The same goes for Nova Scotia.
These tests are expensive PCR tests ....which is why they are not being used in any widespread manner. The ONLY children being tested are those with a very specific set of symptoms. Also they have to go to a clinic or testing centre to provide the sample.

That's 6000 tests ....I would hardly call that
widespread use.
AcuVid would solve the problem of most of these issues because of its 100% specificity. No false positives. It will be faster and cheaper as well. With an outbreak you could test the whole school if necessary.
