RE:Saliva Tests Your changing the subject of Duty of Care . I was not compalining about THRM. I was pointing out their are other Saliva test available for use right now. If u do not consider the BC Saliva test being exclusively used by the BC Gov as not widespread Use the that is your opinion. They are not even using any of the 38 Million rapid tests bought by the Federal Goverment.
There are even more Private clinics offering Saliva tests.
Here is another so U know many companies are working on Saliva tests .

A larger study with 1,000 samples is underway and should be completed by mid-April, while discussions with companies interested in commercializing the technology are already underway, said Diamandis. You have a right to your opinion ...but you're struggling with facts and if you're not invested why are you on this board? If you are invested what's your complaint? Are you suggesting this is competition for THRMs AcuVid ...because it's not.
The saliva gargle tests you refer to are available to every child that NEEDS a test in BC.
That's different than every child being tested. The same goes for Nova Scotia.
These tests are expensive PCR tests ....which is why they are not being used in any widespread manner. The ONLY children being tested are those with a very specific set of symptoms. Also they have to go to a clinic or testing centre to provide the sample.
https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/covid-19/testing Quotes from Bonnie Henry in BC ...at the close of school in December.
"And with more than 600,000 individuals in BC’s school system....."
"Put another way, Henry said, about
one in every 100 school-aged children has been tested for COVID-19 across BC, and less than 1% have actually tested positive."
That's 6000 tests ....I would hardly call that
widespread use.
AcuVid would solve the problem of most of these issues because of its 100% specificity. No false positives. It will be faster and cheaper as well. With an outbreak you could test the whole school if necessary.
Glta ...glad to see the sp move in a more positive light today!!!
