In funding news I note Plume just raised $270 million at a $1.35B enterprise value. One VC firm took the whole round. Not bad for a company that sold its first product 4 years ago.
Just for context Yfi has raised $20M since 2012. And has a market cap of about $25M.
With a capital raise imminent and needed what's in store for Yfi? Can't say it's a tough market to do a raise clearly. If you're 18x's better than every other chip out there and you're going to take over the wifi market you should be able to raise a lot more than $270M shouldn't you? After all, all Plume does is sell wifi access points with those brutal single lane chips.
