Wildcatter, There is an article about AAV on Seeking Alpha dated Feb. 26. Here is the summary:

Summary

  • The Progress Oil discovery is a game-changer.
  • It took about a year to build enough liquids transportation and supporting infrastructure.
  • Oil production as a percentage of production will now increase rapidly.
  • Cash flow growth and earnings growth will exceed production growth as the liquids rich leases are emphasized.
I think, the author was premature to emphasize the near term option to increase liquids production. Not in 2021 according to the company's caped and guidance. Nothing wrong with natural gas which is a lot stronger than a year ago but who would know less than a few months ago that gas would fail to break above $3 and WTI skyrocket above $65.

AAV is on my buy list but I am hesitant to enter because of possible near term weakness in natural gas prices. Keeping an eye on it and may get a small amount for starters.
