Dude it all depends on the circumstances. If someone leave the country on a holiday and fails to quarantine before returning to work there is no choice to fire that employee. To do otherwise would be your company at risk for a civil suit. If another employee was to get Covid and die or give it to someone who dies not only is the employee a slam dunk for a civil suit but so is the company if they knowingly fail to act.
