RE:Amusing monkeys... would be an insultyour final statement brings to mind a competitor that shares some attributes with K92, that being Lundin Gold.
They only got into full production midway through last year, but they're working their way through the process.
Like K92, they also have a large resource, although it is Au-Ag, rather tha Au-Cu. At the moment, they don't have the net profits in hand, but they do have (possibly) the most powerful group in the junior resource fields at the helm (the Lundin Group, which was formed by Adolph almost 1/2 a century ago, and then later turned over to sons Lukas and Ian, and now accompanied by a newer generation of Lundins).
They have slightly more shares outstanding than K92, their price is a bit higher. Their cash cost and AISC is good, but slightly higher than K92's.
Their current mine kickoff is the star discovery of a couple of decades ago, the former Aurelian Resources discovery, "Fruta del Norte" in Equador.
Just something that I find a very worthy competitor, and shares a lot of similarities with K92, so it's fun to keep an eye on, imo.
