Telling your kids they can't do anything ... not easy. No activities period: no skating, no soccer, no gymnastics, no swimming, no playdates, no bday parties, no socializing. Not healthy. They all recommended our kids to embrace tablets suddenly. Go figure.
My family decision to go skiing has nothing to do with boredom. If you think people do sport activities out of boredom, I suspect you were never into sports.
Let me ask you this. Did you notice how on TV during the lockdown all specialists were sending warnings about children mental health / addictions and how bad it was for them? I am sure you didn't notice, not having kids is an excuse though.
Calling names very original. You are that guy in the room that's always the loudest. Looking for (more) attention. Not getting enough. Quoting others as you have nothing interesting to say. It's exactly what you do on this forum and yes people do notice.
Now about Blue Mountain. The hotels are open. So what's the purpose of it all? Can you find out how many times the people in Grey county booked a room at BM resort? You think they open the hills for locals? Think again.
This is what happened in summer time in St Catharines on Sunset Beach in the middle of covid pandemic. Each driver ids was checked at the gate to prove residency and allowed Niagara region residents only. You think BM would do that? They would close shop right away. Same for Craigleith, Alpine and all private hills in the area. I can't imagine the private hills selling their 20k annual membership to Grey county residents.
Well, we have been in lockdown a long time. We live in NOTL which has been in in a red zone for weeks. There have been zero covid cases in our kids school. The number of cases overall in the region went up only due to GTA traffic. However GTA traffic is needed. It's what keeps NOTL and Niagara region afloat. What happens to the turism industry is just traggic but htat's a different topic. GTA money keeps regions like Niagara, BM alive.
Got to say that both me and my wife are fortunate and we are able to get the Pfizer vaccine for some time now (in the US - yes we paid for it - it's roughly 52 US both doses in case you were wondering). Yes, we are allowed to cross the border.
Who is the angry whiny little preeck that jumps to conclusions? Go Fiddy is your Beetchday!
By the way tomorrow ENB will drop a penny. Make sure you get your crying pillow close by.
ps: Regards to your best friends the old ladies marching @ L3, hope they open the border so you can get a selfie in their company
ps2: I will go to Blue Mountain again this season - that's what my kids have been talking since

What a self entitled little prikk you are. I'm quite sure it was nice to be outside for hours at a time, but that could have been done in your own zone. Surely you have outdoor spaces you could utilize, did you really have to travel to Collingwood against orders and help to possible spread the virus ?? I thought you were smarter than that, you really should be fcuking ashamed of yourself. Not to mention what a $hitty example to teach your kids. Maybe next time when you tell them to do something, they will refuse and use YOU as an example of not following the rules. "But Daddy, you didin't listen when they told us not to region hop, and we went to Blue Mountain for the day, remember Daddy".
It's people like YOU that help spread the virus, people like you that are either too dumb, or too arrogant to process the meaning of "DO NOT REGION HOP".
You make me sick......

Nothing beats being outdoor for hours. Especially after being locked in our houses for so long with no option / no activities available for our kids.
Blue Mountain would not be what it is today without the people from the GTA. The investment Westin made would not have been feasible if they would have considered Grey / Simcoe population only when drafting their plans.
There is big money coming in the area year after year. Try to buy a property in the area ... you would be outbid again and again. The prices are at GTA levels already.
It's time to realize that most houses in Blue Mountain are already owned by GTA people. "
