Re-Opening Ontario Main Street
The Back to Business “SAFE and SUSTAINABLE Reopening of Main Street Businesses” research project , CURRENTLY has a pilot underway in Kleinburg, Ontario. We are also in discussions with other municipalities. We are starting in a 4,000 square foot restaurant space, and we are going to pivot IMMEDIATELY to “event” spaces (such as wedding venues) and also to office spaces, retirement homes and LTC. The project protocols are all scalable and adaptable to many different Main Street businesses and sectors.
We do not believe that “ANY restaurant patron allowance increase” is better than NOTHING. Evidence based science and state of the art TECHNOLOGY is driving this undertaking. With the capacity to monitor and track primary Covid facilitators within the business “space” AND with a built in “warning” system (in the event of a probable or actual Covid transmission threat), there is NO REASON NOT to ramp up restaurant patron occupancy levels right up, to 100% PROVIDED the checks and balances are in place. We are providing the “hard hard evidence” that Doug Ford asked for and the restaurant industry desperately needs, for obvious reasons. This research project has the full support of the Public Health Agency of Canada, who are observing project progress and data analytics.
