RE:RE:RE:Green day for JEOf course there is legal basis for collection!  That is the incentive for energy providers (the people that actually create the energy not resell it) to come to Texas and supply the market.  Just Energy knew the risks of this game - hence the hedging strategies that they might have had in place years ago.  This board needs to understand that the Texas energy market in unlike any in the United States or Canada.  Just Energy and other resellers are on the hook for the $9,000/kWh that has come due.  Its the risks/rewards of doing business in this market.  You think that the energy providers would come after ERCOT if the energy price plummets to lets say 1.5 cents/kWh. Not a chance.  Everyone knew the rules ($9,000 kWh cap) before the game was played - or the contracts were signed.
