But EV batteries DO burst into flames on occasion and generally burn the car to the ground . EV's are on average 1000 lbs heavier than a traditional gas powered car . This will cause several new problems from parkade capacity to road surface degradation . Infrastructure is still unable to support 10% of whats being proposed so the O&G industry will be around for decades to come .
