RE:RE:Finger Pointing and Denials as the Media Smells Someting FisIf i remember correctly, I think Jeff said in an earlier post that one of the two projects chosen was inexplicably approved at a much higher MW number than they had applied for and gotten permits for.  It seemed like the bureaucrats said this was driven by the need to come in exactly at the 150 MW the FOMB would allow.  But that project only had the permits and agreements in hand for the original lesser amount they had applied for. (Like Montalva, they were probably planning to build this first stage and then expand with a second stage later.) So that company will not be able to build the full amount of power they were approved for any time soon. 

The reporter from El Nuevo Dia knows there is something corrupt going on and is getting the main players to turn on each other.  I wish I could see the rest of the article.

I also believe that Xzerta lowered their price months after Montalva did.  If anyone's lower price didn't get accepted, it should have been Xzerta's, since they reduced their price significantly later in the process.
