Because they do it for all planes. They take all oportunity.
Governemental transport (350 and 330ACJ) , tankers (A330 PHOENIX), cargo A320 A330, soon 350)...
They allow modifications even from an tier companie if it allow them to sell some additional airframes. And they need it badly the 330 and 350.

But it s marginal because a modification can't compete against something made for it at design.
For exemple you can transform a A380 in cargo plane, but he will never match an Antonov, because the antonov is made for it at design.
The A220ACJ range is half the range of a blobal... So it s no competitive and will stay marginal.
Only the A330 tanker modification is very successful, but it s because there is no specialised plane for this task. So he is competitive :), and it s relay a life saver for this plane.
